Scientists reported on Friday that a gigantic fossilized skull dating back at least 140,000 years has been identified as a new species of ancient human, a discovery that could redefine how — and even where — our species, Homo sapiens, originated.      The skull of an adult guy with a large brain, gigantic brow ridges, deep-set eyes, and a bulbous nose was discovered. After a labourer discovered it at a building site in China, it had been hidden in an abandoned well for 85 years.      The new species was given the name Homo longi, and the nickname "Dragon Man" was given to it after the Dragon River region of northeast China, where the skull was discovered.      According to the researchers, Homo longi, not Neanderthals, was the most closely linked extinct human species to our own. Despite having been fully vaccinated and having recovered from COVID, a Rajasthan woman tests positive for the Delta plus variant.

In the first incidence of Delta-plus in Rajasthan, a 65-year-old lady tested positive for the variant after recovering from COVID-19 in May and receiving both doses of vaccine. The woman, on the other hand, is in good health, according to government officials.

Rajasthan is now one of the states in the country to have registered the new viral strain. "The patient's sample was sent to NIV on May 31," says Parmendra Sirohi of Bikaner's PBM Hospital. "After 25 days, the state government received the reports, which were then sent to Bikaner district collector for further action."

"Special directions have been issued for tracking in and around the residence of the woman," Bikaner CMHO O.P. Chahar stated. "Anyone who has tested positive in the area in the last month will be tested again," he continued. This woman has already recovered from the Covid infection, according to Chahar.

The Rajasthan government is paying attention to this issue. According to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, there will be no service laxity, and the new restrictions will ensure that the Delta plus variety does not spread throughout the state.

Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala have all been found to have the Delta plus variety. Maharashtra had the highest number of patients, with 21 instances documented.
