Discovery of new human kind of species in China

Scientists reported on Friday that a gigantic fossilized skull dating back at least 140,000 years has been identified as a new species of ancient human, a discovery that could redefine how — and even where — our species, Homo sapiens, originated.      The skull of an adult guy with a large brain, gigantic brow ridges, deep-set eyes, and a bulbous nose was discovered. After a labourer discovered it at a building site in China, it had been hidden in an abandoned well for 85 years.      The new species was given the name Homo longi, and the nickname "Dragon Man" was given to it after the Dragon River region of northeast China, where the skull was discovered.      According to the researchers, Homo longi, not Neanderthals, was the most closely linked extinct human species to our own. If validated, it would affect how scientists see Homo sapiens' origins, which have been built up over time through fossil finds and ancien...

India is going to victimize the last Supermoon of 2021-- Check when this rare phenomena going to occur

On Thursday, about a month after we witnessed the uncommon phenomena of a total lunar eclipse coupled with a Supermoon and Bloodmoon in the night sky, Earth's natural satellite will appear brighter and bigger than before. The astronomical event is noteworthy for two reasons: first, it is a Strawberry Moon, and second, it is a late Supermoon.

Supermoon

The Strawberry Moon is the last Full Moon of spring and the first Full Moon of summer. On June 21, the Northern Hemisphere's summer season began with the Summer Solstice, the year's longest day.

On Thursday, the Moon will appear larger than on other days as it approaches Earth in its orbit, and it will likely be visible for three days in a row.

WHEN WILL INDIA BE ABLE TO SEE THE STRAWBERRY MOON?

In India, the Strawberry Moon will be visible until 12.10 a.m., when it will reach its brightest point. The moon will not be seen until it climbs beyond the horizon in the evening as the sun sets, according to Farmer's Almanac. The sunset in New Delhi is expected to be around 7.23 p.m. on Thursday. In contrast to the typical moon, which has a one-day full phase, the Strawberry moon will be visible in the night sky for more than a day. Between the Summer Solstice and the Equinox, there are usually three full moons. In 2021, however, there will be four such periods.

WHY IS IT DESCRIBED AS THE STRAWBERRY MOON?

By the end of June, the Moon, which marks the start of the summer season, is normally in a lower position in the sky. It shines through more of our atmosphere, according to Nasa, and can sometimes give off a pinkish hue. The term, however, is more than just a reference to the pinkish tint.

The name of the celestial phenomena comes from ancient American tribes who associated the Full Moon with the start of the strawberry picking season. In different parts of the world, the Full Moon in June is known by different names. It's known as the Rose Moon in Europe, as it coincides with rose harvesting. It is known as the Hot Moon in the Northern Hemisphere since it occurs at the start of the summer season north of the equator.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS SUPERMOON?

When the Full Moon coincides with the Moon's closest approach to Earth in its elliptical orbit, a supermoon occurs. The Moon is at its closest distance to Earth at 3,63,711 kilometers in its 27-day orbit around Earth, which is known as perigee. The Moon seems larger and brighter than normal during this phase.

"It only happens three to four times a year, and always appears consecutively," Nasa said of the June 24 Supermoon, which is the last supermoon of 2021. March 28, April 27, and May 26 were the last three Supermoons.
