Discovery of new human kind of species in China

       Scientists reported on Friday that a gigantic fossilized skull dating back at least 140,000 years has been identified as a new species of ancient human, a discovery that could redefine how — and even where — our species, Homo sapiens, originated.      The skull of an adult guy with a large brain, gigantic brow ridges, deep-set eyes, and a bulbous nose was discovered. After a labourer discovered it at a building site in China, it had been hidden in an abandoned well for 85 years.      The new species was given the name Homo longi, and the nickname "Dragon Man" was given to it after the Dragon River region of northeast China, where the skull was discovered.      According to the researchers, Homo longi, not Neanderthals, was the most closely linked extinct human species to our own. The night curfew in Uttar Pradesh has been relaxed by two hours, allowing more people to attend weddings. Check out the new guidelines.

    From Monday, the Uttar Pradesh government will reduce the night curfew by two hours (June 21). The night curfew will be in effect starting tomorrow, from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. Previously, a night curfew was in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

UP government announces some relaxations

    From Monday, the new guidelines will allow restaurants, cafés, and malls to open at 50% capacity. According to Chief Secretary R K Tiwari's directive, Saturday and Sunday shall be weekly holidays.

    From June 21, a maximum of 50 persons will be allowed to attend weddings and other festivities at both open and closed venues. The number of persons allowed in a religious building at any given moment has been limited to 50.

    The opening of markets outside of the containment zones will be permitted under the new SOPs. Malls will reopen, and government offices will allow full attendance.

    These concessions were announced by the Uttar Pradesh administration on June 15, but they will take effect on Monday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presided over a COVID-19 review meeting when the decision was made. According to the official statement, the CM urged officials to make all necessary preparations to prevent a possible third pandemic wave.

    Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh reported 51 fresh COVID-19 deaths on Saturday (June 19), bringing the total death toll to 22,132. After 294 additional people tested positive for the infection, the total number of cases reached 17,04,139.
